If you’ve ever tried getting a child in and out of the car, taking their jacket on and off, buckling them in, and then doing it all over again for a quick trip into the store—you know how much time it can take! Our family’s car seat ponchos have become a favorite wintertime time-saver.
These cozy double-layer fleece ponchos are designed to be worn while your child rides in their car seat. The harness buckles underneath the poncho, while the poncho provides a warm layer around your child. Once you arrive at your destination, simply leave the poncho on as a cozy jacket.

HOW TO USE THE CAR SEAT PONCHO
Lift the back of the poncho up and place your child in their car seat. Buckle your child in according to your car seat manufacturer's instructions. Bring the front of the poncho over the harness while the back remains lifted behind your child.
Please always follow your car seat manufacturer's instructions regarding clothing, harness use, and safe installation. The poncho should not be placed underneath the harness.
SIZING
My ponchos follow common children's clothing sizes and are designed to come approximately to the child's waist.
Because every poncho is hand sewn, slight size variations may occur.
SMALL — Infant–18 Months
Approximately 12" from shoulder to wrist
MEDIUM — 12 Months–2T
Approximately 13.5" from shoulder to wrist
LARGE — Approximately 3T–6X
Approximately 15.5" from shoulder to wrist
SIZE UP if you would like a longer poncho.
If you would like more blanket-like coverage while riding in the car or want a size that gives your child more room to grow, I recommend choosing the Large.
PHOTO SIZING EXAMPLES
The second-to-last photo shows a Medium on a child who wears 2T/3T clothing. She is approximately 36" tall.
The last photo shows a Large on a child who wears size 5T clothing. She is approximately 42" tall.
